Florida Part 2

I know, I already did part 2, but these aren’t specific to Creighton, but are from the same set of pictures.  I still have many more pictures to post, but this will be the last one for today.

You have to have a key to get onto the beach from our hotel.  Mike forgot his one day, so he lifted Lincoln over the gate to stand on the handle so he could get out.  Kate and Lincoln with Floyd and Wilma.  =)

Creighton loved to listen to music with Uncle Brett.

Florida Part 2–Thru Creighton’s eyes

Creighton was crazy and full of life and vacation.  He loved e.v.e.r.y. single minute of vacation.  He spent each day absolutely going full speed, loving whatever he was doing, and perhaps even scaring a few years off my life.  He has absolutely no fear of anything.  He reminds us so much of Kate.  He was always having so much fun that several times a day we had to drag him from an activity kicking, screaming, and thrashing.

Loving the ocean.

Creighton kept trying to jump off the board when he was fully clothed and nobody was in the pool, so one day since Mike was already in there, I decided to let him try it.  He loved it!

I think in the below picture Mike is looking at me to make sure I didn’t have a heart attack.  ;)  Creighton would jump in and then swim to the side so I would lift him out and he could do it again.  He would only jump completely by himself the first day he tried it, every day after that, he would jump but I would have to drop him down to Mike instead of him just jumping…maybe he did have just the tiniest speck of fear after all.

At one point I looked up to see that we had attracted quite the audience.  I didn’t get a picture, but there were probably 15 people (not related to me) standing around watching Creighton jump in the pool.  =)  If nothing else, we provide the entertainment for the people in our lives.  =)

Florida Part 1

We are home from our WONDERFUL Florida vacation.  I took so many pictures that I hardly even know where to begin as far as posting pictures.  I may just have to post them in sections, so for now, here some of my favorites out of the first round.  We were again blessed to be able to spend a few days with my Grandparents, my parents, and my brother and sister-in-law all together.  The older I get the more I understand how truly special that is. We all had a wonderful time, I’ll let the pictures say the rest. =)

Beach Fun

The kids spent hours jumping off the diving board.  They would jump in over and over and over again.  Lincoln started out the week saying that he wasn’t going to jump in off the diving board, but I think that lasted until about 30 minutes and so he was up there jumping off the board just like Kate.  Creighton even went off a time or two, but those pictures are for another day.

I don’t think I have any pictures of Kate playing shuffleboard, but Grams and Popsy were very patient shuffleboard teachers.  =)

That’s it for Part One.  Many more pictures yet to come. =)

happy birthday, dad!

First, if you get a link in an e-mail from me from a hotmail e-mail address, do not open it, that is a VERY old e-mail address and I did not send it.  It should be taken care of now, so I hope you won’t get any more and I apologize for the spam!!

Second, last week was my Dad’s birthday, so we stopped in at work to have lunch with him.  Happy Birthday, Dad!  We love you.

Saturday we used some Christmas money and went out to eat as a family and then we took the kids shopping to spend their Christmas money from A. Joyce.  Thank you, Aunt Joyce!!

Sunday we had a good time with several friends, but I forgot to get my camera out!  But, many thanks to the Hoffmire’s and the Shields’ for the delicious food and hospitality!!

I have been missing my friend, Sacha, a lot the past few weeks, I think of her when I pick Kate up from school and how I wish I could stop in and chat.  I think of her when Creighton does something new and how I wish I could ask her if Jack was doing the same things.  But I am thankful for the missing her as it reminds me of all the lessons I learned from her, I never want to forget those things.  I miss you, Sach!
