Kate’s 3rd grade music program. My camera battery died after 1 picture and I was kind of far away for phone pictures, so these are pretty grainy.

This past weekend we had Christmas with my dad’s family. It was our first year having Christmas somewhere different than Grandpa and Grandma’s. It was kind of different but my grandparents and aunts and uncles really went above and beyond bringing toys and activities to make it still feel like Grandma’s house. We were especially thankful to be celebrating Christmas as my dear aunt was in a car accident and we could easily have been planning a funeral. I’m so thankful that was not the case.
These two have been among my closest friends for as far back as I remember.
Sunday we went to the Festival of Lights. Anya loved it this year. She kept saying, “Mom, look……Mom, look……Mom…..look.”

She had taken a step stool and put it on the bottom bunk bed, stood on top of it and climbed onto the top bunk bed, and then climbed from there onto the dresser. By the end of the night, all I was capable of was this: =)
