Beth Moore

This past weekend I had the opportunity to see Beth Moore Live with 3 of my good friends.  It was an amazing experience all around.  I’m so fortunate to have such amazing friends.  A big thanks to my husband and Mom for watching the kids so I could go!  I didn’t know what I would come home to, since the scene that Mike often comes home to is…overwhelming at times.  But I came home to happy kids, a picked up house, and Mike even made my favorite dessert (cookie monsters) for dinner.  What a guy.  I’m really blessed!

Creighton is talking more and more now.  He goes around making messes and then coming to me and saying “Gook, Momma” or “Gook, Mommy.”  If you think about not listening he will just saying it louder and add in hitting you on the leg or arm until you look.  He’s a funny boy.  The night I got home from the Beth Moore conference, he had found Kate and Lincoln’s not quite finished desserts.  Mike and I were watching the Olympics in another room and all the sudden he comes in saying, “Gook, Momma, Gook.”  The picture does not do justice to how dirty he actually was.  =)

Friends and Fun

Well, a mysterious “headache” disease has run thru our family, but I think we have all had it now, so hopefully it won’t circle back around.  Kate seems to have gotten it the worst so far and hers ended in a sinus infection.  This is a very rare sight around here, Kate hasn’t napped for several years now.  But, last week she napped 4 out of 6 days.  I admit, it was kind of nice, but I hated seeing her so miserable.  She was so sick that she thanked God for the Sinus Rinse/Neti Pot and that she could get rid of her snot.  I admit that I could not hold back the laugh during that prayer.

We got to spend an evening with our friends, Kevin and Jody.  Kate requested to take pictures while the kids were downstairs playing the Wii.  =)

The boy with no fear.  =)  If you try to catch him as he comes down the slide, you will get scolded in toddler jibberish.

This picture is just funny to me.  At first glance, it looks like Linc pulled a Tom Sawyer on Creigh, however, really Linc was just being his usual compliant self and letting Creigh drive the tractor because he was throwing a fit about having to ride.

Last week one day we went with my friend, Penny, and her kids to a park in Minonk?  I actually don’t know where we went, she drove.  =)  The kids had a blast together!!!    Thanks for the invite, Pen!

Trying out their scooters on the ramps.  Creighton wishing he had one too.

They also had a playground, but I think the highlight for the kids was when the splash park turned on.

Afterwards we stopped for a treat at a Candy Store, but I was too busy keeping Creighton out of the candy to take any pictures.  =)

Mike, Lincoln, Brett, and my Dad went to a Father/Son night.  Creigh had to be in the picture too!

On Saturday, we found some friends who didn’t mind boating with our 3 kiddos along, so we went off to Clinton Lake with them.  We had a great day.  I should have taken more pictures.  Thanks for putting up with the constant requests for food and swimming from our kids!!

Sunday we had lunch and went swimming with some friends, but I forgot to take any pictures.  Sorry guys!! =)

Fireworks

Isn’t today a lovely reprieve from the 100 degree heat?  I am enjoying it immensely.  =)

We went to the Morton Fireworks this year for the first time.  We sat in our car and watched them.  Creighton enjoyed them the most of the 3 kids.  After every one he would say, “whoa” and sign more and then he’d do it all over again.  The older two thought they were kind of loud, but enjoyed them as well.

We are excited to have another nephew to love.  We welcome Jared Thomas to the family.  We enjoyed getting to see him and his family a few nights ago.

Saturday we spent the day boating with our friends, Ross and Jamie, and 4 of our collective 6 kids.  It was crazy hot, but we had a great time with them!  Our kids are very close to the same age and get along really well.  Thank you for a great day, Ross and Jamie!!

Contrary to how the picture with the 3 kids appears, we did not nearly drown them.  =)
