We had many Father’s Day plans – but I didn’t take any pictures. Happy Father’s Day to our dads and to my hubby, who I think is one amazing dad!

Bread Lesson
Max and Nora
Mary came over yesterday and spent a few hours with us. The kids had fun playing together.
Playing outside in the water table
I looked out the window at one point and the boys had climbed into the water table….
Nora loved giving Creighton kisses.
It started raining and I told the kids they could play outside in it. Pretty soon they all thought they needed coats. All I had left to give Max was Kate’s vest. (Sorry, Greg)
Safety Expo
Yesterday afternoon my friend, Wendy and I loaded up our kids and headed to the Safety Expo at Grand Prairie Mall. Her parents graciously came with us and when they left, Tessa came to help me out. The kids had a great time looking at all the different emergency vehicles and were really impressed when the helicopter landed right in front of us.
The right hand picture was them inside the state police officer’s car.

Spraying the fire hose
Sitting on the Police Motorcycle – Lincoln was so pleased. The officer even let Lincoln push the siren button – I’m pretty sure Lincoln thought this was one of the best days of his life. :)
Waiting with A. Tessa for the helicopter to land. It landed directly in front of us. The kids got to sit in it as well.
Lincoln never stopped smiling the whole two hours we spent there.

Rassi Weekend Away 2011
Kate and Hope jumping off the stage.
These two boys are about 6-7 weeks apart and age and they were so fun to watch. This was really the first time they discovered each other. I am excited to see them grow up together.
I don’t know what this game was called, I walked in one night to find the kids playing this game where they passed the hats along until the music (John playing the piano) stopped. Kind of like hot potato.
After the hat game they did sack races. (Thanks to John and Heather for the games)
Let’s just say Kate and Linc were not very good at this game. :)
Everyone had fun playing in the game room!
We had a great time swimming and playing at Norris Lake on Saturday. Thank you Herman’s for your generosity!
I just have to brag on this family. In my opinion, they are among some of the most servant hearted people in the world. Seriously, I have some fantastic brother-in-laws. (I do not have a picture of Phil, Caleb, or Greg in action, but they were equally involved!)
These boys spent their Saturday….
Making breakfast
Swimming with the kids in the lake – that is Chad the boys are chasing and the back of John in the left picture
Building sandcastles
Playing board games
Playing Kickball
And I’m pretty sure it’s because they watched this man (and their mom too) do things like this with them while they were growing up
Even better, I think they all enjoyed it. They never stopped smiling. Thank you, boys, for everything you did! (For the record, I have a pretty great set of sister-in-laws as well – you should have seen the feast we had for every meal – pretty sure I gained 5 pounds). I’m already looking forward to the next Rassi Family Retreat. :)
