Caught in the Rain

Anya and her pal, Lola, hanging out in the kiddie pool.  =)

I really do try not to spoil her too much.  But these kids fall all over themselves to spoil her. =)  They actually fight over who gets to share their ice cream with her, who gets to hold her, who gets to sit by her at the table, etc.  She’s over 7 months now, I really expected the novelty to wear off, but she is every bit as adored as the day we brought her home.

We went boating with our good friends last Saturday.  It was cloudy but warm until later in the afternoon.  We ended up getting caught in the rain.  We pulled out the cover and overhead umbrella.  We made it back a little wet, but safely.  Our friends were AWESOME sports about it all and we all had a blast in spite of it all.  Thanks R & J!!!

These girls are the best.  =)

I love hibiscus trees.  Mine died last year.  My Mom found one on sale and bought it for me. It turned out to be a multi-colored one and I love it!!

Playing outside with Dad after supper one evening.

One afternoon it was still too cold to swim at Mom and Dad’s pool, so we tried out the kiddie pool.  We’re getting a bit big for it.  =)

One evening we went over to the annual Emergency Expo at Grand Prairie.  We did not get to see the helicopter take off or land this time, but the kids still enjoyed seeing all the different emergency vehicles.  Creighton liked it the most, especially spraying the water with the fire fighter.

First swim of the year – June 14.  The water was still pretty chilly, but the kids swam anyway.

We were blessed to get to celebrate Father’s Day with both of our Dad’s this year.  I didn’t get any pictures, but each year we grow more thankful for the examples our dad’s have been to us and realize more and more just how much they poured into us over the years!  Thanks, Dad’s – we love you!

A picture of “our” Dad and his kiddos.  This man does a fantastic job as a father.  He goes above and beyond and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to parent these 4 with him.  =)

Some updated pictures

On a whim, I took the kids out to get some more current pictures yesterday.  It was the usual circus.  I really should have enlisted the help of a neighbor as it is really hard to jump around and make them smile and keep all the heads in the frame.  :)
