May/June

If you are friends of ours on facebook or follow me on instagram, some of this will be a repeat for you.  But for those who don’t, here’s a brief recap of the last few weeks.
We enjoyed reading night at the Chief’s game, even though it was delayed and raining for the beginning part of the game.

Field Day

I wear these boots around my yard and face much mocking from my family.  However, after stepping on a snake, one becomes quite certain they never want to have that experience again. : ) This snake is longer and grosser than it appears….my AWESOME cousins have come over a couple of times to try to save us from these disgusting things, which they seem to almost enjoy which I cannot fathom.  Thanks guys!! =) In this picture, the snake (4-5 ft. rat snake) had climbed the tree and was stretched out sunning on a branch.  So, So disturbing.
  
Mother’s Day with my side of the family.  My parents brought a motorized scooter which nearly resulted in injury of both child and adult alike. : )

Creighton graduated from preschool.  He had Mrs. Frey, like Kate and Lincoln, who continues to be outstanding in our eyes!
 
I took some updated pictures of the kids….somehow I got a few, but it was hairy.

For a good majority of the pictures she would not wear her pants…..oh, she keeps me humble.

Kate and I had a mother/daughter Bible study so the boys got to enjoy some Turkey Festival rides with a couple of their cousins.

May Mayhem

It is that time of year at our house.  Mayhem.  Field trips, preschool graduation, field day, plays, programs, awards, and more will fill our next couple of weeks.  It’s a fun time of year, but I need post-it notes for my post-it notes to not forget someone’s sack lunch or class t-shirt or whatever it may be.  =)  I’m looking forward to all the end of the year fun, it’s such an exciting time.

A few weeks back we got to visit with Grandma Gramm a bit.  I hope she enjoyed the chaos.  =)

I really do try to laugh at myself….there was something …raccoon, cat, skunk, not sure what….in this garbage can.  So I used the pool scrubber to pull it out of the garage and then I ran…..

This baby mouse was sleeping peacefully in our toy room….we got him in the bucket and then this poor mouse….Anya carried it all around, pushed it in the push toys, gave it grass and rocks, talked to it….for 3 hours…..I went to set it free during nap time and the poor thing was dead….likely traumatized.

We spent a fun day at a Cards/Cubs game with friends. 

  

Oh. Dear. Me. Yes, that is my 60 year old father, on a ladder, in the bed of his truck…..

Poor Jared….He was in the Cozy Coupe all alone and then…..his cousin weaseled her way in….he decided that was for the birds, so he got out and pushed her…..then she said she’d push him….I don’t think she told him she was going to run full speed while pushing him.  Poor Boy. =)
