Rassi Fun Day

 

I came around the corner at my Mom’s the other day and found Creighton standing on a chair at her pantry.  He said, “Can you please go away, I getting somebing.” 

Mom and I made some homemade applesauce.  Thankfully Aunt Joyce and Dad pitched in to help and Mike was able to take care of the kids after work, otherwise, we might still be doing applesauce.  ;)

Anya loves to stand and her favorite thing is to walk around holding someone’s fingers.  She just turned 8 months, so I’m a little worried that she’s trying to break Kate’s record and walk before 10 months.

We had Rassi Fun Day last Friday.  We had a whole day of playing together as the Curt Rassi Family.  We had so much fun.  There were bubbles, swimming, croquet, volleyball, water balloons, relays, carpet rides, and so much more.  Thanks so much to Jason and Ellie for planning and organizing it all!  What a fun day!  (Side note: my camera battery died part way thru and I had to take pictures with my phone.  So I don’t have a ton of pictures and most are of my kids, so if anyone wants to share theirs with me……I’d take them).

                    

Summer Catch-Up

 

As I know is the case with any who read this blog, our summer has been a busy one.  We’ve been having a great time though! 

A few weeks ago, T-Ball ended.  Kate and Lincoln had a great year and enjoyed making some new friends. 

  

Lincoln loves sports of all kinds, but sometimes this results in injury. =)  This particular run-in was with a frisbee.

 

If possible, Creighton gets more mischievous and more funny with each passing day!  I have caught him hanging off the neighbor’s deck with one hand, had to clean up a paint mess, gotten him down from more high places than you can imagine, had to take away pans of dessert, get him out of Anya’s crib, and on and on.  Last night I was listening to him say his prayers and he said, <insert broken toddler speak> “Please forgibe us for our sin and anger…..Mom, what anger?”  I said, “It’s when you get really mad and treat people badly.”  He said, “Huh, I not anger, I in bed.”  If you’re bored, let me just send him your way for an hour, he will take care of that for you.  =)

 

No family night is complete without dinner in the basement and watching Tom and Jerry for the umpteenth time.  =)

Creighton got to run an errand with Daddy one Saturday.

 

No summer is complete without a few trips to the lake.  We are blessed that we can call our neighbors our friends as well.  We spent a crazy (rainy!) day at the lake with these guys.  Despite the lack of sun, we still had a ball.  If you look close, you can see that the 3 guys are in the lake in the pouring down rain.

 

I wish everyone in the world could have an aunt as awesome as my Aunt Joyce!  Our kids ADORE her and for good reason!  She’s one of the most fun people you’ll ever meet. 

We spent an afternoon playing with my friend Codee and her kids.  Here are some pictures of the boys together.

Anya loves the pool every bit as much as the other kids.  One afternoon she fell asleep in her “boat” as the kids call it. 

 

But then, who wouldn’t love the pool when your dad does this with them over and over and over.

 

Lastly we enjoyed a night at a Peoria Chief’s Game with fireworks after, we went with friends, but I really do try to be nice and only include “good” pictures of friends, so I’m not including any pictures of them.  =)  Actually, they just looked bored stiff in them and I like to think that have more fun than that with us.  ;)
