Balance

I'm not sure that this counts as a "hard" post, but it is something that I'm currently having a difficult time with. :) Our kids would like to be outside every minute of the day. However, they aren't old enough to let outside by themselves and we do not have a backyard that lends itself to putting up a fence. So, how do I balance needing to do things inside (laundry, dishes, cooking, etc) with the fact that Kate & Lincoln would stay outside from sun-up to sun-down if possible. Comments welcome!! :)

Mom, can we sprinkle?

One day Kate said "Mom, can we sprinkle?" I looked at her blankly...you want to sprinkle? What? I finally figured out she wanted to get out the sprinkler. :)

Our first swim in Grandpa & Grandma's new pool!! It is still a bit cloudy, but we didn't care a bit.

Kate & William

This is a fun story, as told to me by Bethany. B~correct me if I've said something wrong.

Kate was playing at William's for the day. At lunch they were talking about songs that they know and like to sing. Naturally they thought of the ABC song and Jesus Loves Me, etc.

Sweet boy that William is he starts to sing "Jesus loves Kate, this I know. For the Bible tells me so."

At this point, Kate pipes up with, "Why didn't the Bible tell me so?"

William replies, "Hmmm....I don't know, Kate."

Visiting the Suvar's

We spent the weekend in Indiana with Paul & Nichole, Owen & Hannah. The kids had a great time together and didn't have too many fights. :) Kate and Lincoln traveled really well and had fun with their cousins. :) Thanks again for a great weekend, Paul & Nichole!

Kate - 2.5 years

Kate, our little fireball...life would be quite calm without her. You just never know what she'll say, like this morning when I asked her to do something and she said, "Well, right now I'm kind of busy" or what she'll do, like yesterday when she fell out of the stroller when we were on a walk....if nothing else, she keeps me from taking myself too seriously...I've certainly had to learn how to roll with what happens in the last 2.5 years. :)

Linc's One Year Pics

This little bubba gets darker (tan) and blonder by the minute it seems. He is loving being outside and will often bring me my shoes and wave, which means, take me outside. :)

Just like Daddy

Daddy got out his golf clubs and soon everyone had to have one.
