Florida 2015

We just got home from an incredible vacation.  Vacationing with 4 young kids is not without it’s challenges, but we had a wonderful time.  It was great to relax and just enjoy time as a family and as an extended family.

We settled into a routine of playing at the beach in the morning and the pool in the afternoon.  Kate and Lincoln loved the ocean this year and by the end of the week, Creighton did too. Anya loved to watch the water and to be held in it, but did not want to be put down in it.

Traditional Family Shots – We are so grateful we got to have another vacation that included 4 generations.  I will treasure these times always.

MK Christmas

These two are either the best of friends or the worst of enemies.

Sometimes there just aren’t any words for this boy…

Kate’s 3rd grade music program.  My camera battery died after 1 picture and I was kind of far away for phone pictures, so these are pretty grainy.

This picture pretty much describes how these two did during the program.  =)

This past weekend we had Christmas with my dad’s family.  It was our first year having Christmas somewhere different than Grandpa and Grandma’s.  It was kind of different but my grandparents and aunts and uncles really went above and beyond bringing toys and activities to make it still feel like Grandma’s house.  We were especially thankful to be celebrating Christmas as my dear aunt was in a car accident and we could easily have been planning a funeral.  I’m so thankful that was not the case.

These two have been among my closest friends for as far back as I remember.

Sunday we went to the Festival of Lights.  Anya loved it this year.  She kept saying, “Mom, look……Mom, look……Mom…..look.”

Last night I was struggling through trying to help Kate with this:

When I realized Anya had been quiet for too long.  I found her here:

She had taken a step stool and put it on the bottom bunk bed, stood on top of it and climbed onto the top bunk bed, and then climbed from there onto the dresser.  By the end of the night, all I was capable of was this: =)
